In my infinite spare time, i have constructed the first chapter of a poem i plan to continue over time on the Elfs. It took me a while cos its all in rhyming cuplets! and each line has eight syllables!

I Eldaron

Minė

Ai! i eldar nar vanya nossė,
Haryantė nyįrė ilalassė,
Ainatar antane cuilė ten,
Cuivanentė sé Cuiviénen,
San i Valar hirnė I eldar,
Oromė nyarnė te Valimar,
Né i norė yassen nį vanė,
Ar Siė mardello lendentė,
Mal ś ilya tienta hirnė,
Moringotto yando cennė te,
Ar Carnė te ve móli nwalya,
Ónė urqui tiessė sina,
Yaiwė i hķni Ainataro,
Amanenna I Vanyar, Noldor,
Ar taura Oromė tślaner,
Yassen Sślimo ar Varda ner.

And the translation:

Of The Elfs

One

Ah! The Elfs are a fair people,
They have a history of woe,
Iluvatar gave them life,
They awoke in Cuiviénen,
Then the Valar found the Elfs,
And oromė told then valimar,
Was the land where beauty is,
And thus from home they went,
But not all found their way,
Morgoth saw them also,
And made them as slaves to torture,
In this way he made the orcs,
Mocking the children of Iluvatar,
To Aman the Vanyar, Noldor,
And Mighty Oromė came,
Where Manwė and Varda were.
